🔥 Community Update – September 2024 🔥
With all the hype around projects like Snek.fun and the explosion of countless new memecoins, it’s time for an important update from one of the original memecoins on Cardano – $FIRE, which launched back in late 2021! Can you believe it’s been almost 3 years?
Here’s what’s happening with $FIRE:
🔥 100% (practically) Distribution
The most exciting news – the token is now fully distributed, except for 5M $FIRE held in a charity wallet. If you check our circulating supply on TapTools, you’ll notice it shows 490.45M/500M. The correct circulating supply is 495M, with the remaining 5M in the charity wallet.
The additional 4.5M $FIRE is in the Minswap Farm rewards wallet and just waiting to be claimed since the farming period has ended.
🌾 Minswap Farm Ended
For those of you who staked your FIRE/ADA LP tokens in the Minswap Farm, it’s time to claim your rewards! There’s 4.5M $FIRE waiting to be redeemed. These tokens have been fully earned and are in circulation – they just need to be claimed. Don’t forget to unstake your LP tokens and grab your well-deserved rewards!
💧 DripDropz Ended
All DripDropz rewards have officially ended. The token supply has been fully distributed, and there are no more tokens left to reward delegates and NFT holders.
We’ve got mixed feelings about this. While it’s bittersweet to end the rewards for our loyal holders and supporters, it’s also an incredible accomplishment to have reached full distribution. Every single $FIRE token is now in the hands of the community!
💼 Project Treasury
The latest treasury balance sheet has been posted. The treasury holds less than 500 ADA and the 5M $FIRE in the charity wallet. All other project assets were airdropped to the community!
How many projects can say they’ve airdropped all of their assets (including the LP!) to their community? We did it!
🏛️ 100% Community Owned
This project is now 100% community-owned. All tokens have been fully distributed, and all project assets were airdropped to DAO holders during the ‘Fire Up The DAO: Decentralization Plan’ back in Summer 2023. 🌐 Website Update
Our main domain is now just a simple landing page. The original website has been archived and can be found at archive.firetokenada.com. Don’t worry – all existing links will redirect to the correct archived pages.
🔥 Final Thoughts
It has been an incredible journey building this project and its community. We’ve now reached the stage of full distribution and full decentralization, and the future of $FIRE is in the hands of the 29.7k holders.
While there isn’t much more we can do from here, we will continue to maintain essential items such as the domain and Discord server. However, we’d love to see some community members step up and take over these responsibilities. If you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We will also hold on to the Charity wallet, with the hope that we can resume making donations in the future to support wildfire recovery initiatives.
